About Us

Grandpa's Farm is a pick-your-own blueberry and choose-and-cut Christmas tree farm.

Rodney (Grandpa) and Vickie (Grammy) have lived on this land since 1984. We met in January 1981 during our freshman year at Messiah college in PA. I (Grandpa) am native to NH (Woodsville) and grew up in Tilton. My dad worked for the US Department of Agriculture before beginning Phillips Farm Produce in 1984. Grammy was born in Butler, PA (just north of Pittsburgh). She does root for the Patriots but also holds onto her Steelers' "Terrible Towel" for old times sake. After marrying in 1983 and graduating from college in 1984 we moved back to NH. During the summer of 1984 we helped Rodney's dad build his first of 7 greenhouses for the start of Phillips Farm Produce in Tilton, NH and then we moved to our current location in Loudon and have been here since.

So where did we get the name for Grandpa's Farm? When our 3 children were growing up, we spent much time helping at Phillips Farm Produce. But of course our children simply called it "Grandpa's Farm". When I went to register the farm name "Phillips' Farm" in 2014 I discovered that some large corporation from California had recently registered the name. So, Grammy suggested the name "Grandpa's Farm". The name not only speaks to our stage in life (as we are very proud grandparents) but it also honors all the hard work and example of my dad and mom at Phillips' Farm Produce.

In 2014 we opened up a small blueberry patch to the public. We currently operate our more than 1/2 acre of pick-your-own blueberries as a self-pay honor system. Blueberries are sold by the pound and there are buckets and clear instructions at the stand. If for some reason you experience trouble paying, make a note with all of your contact information on your payment envelope and we will settle up later.

We also have more than 4,000 Christmas trees including Balsam Fir, Fraser Fir, Canaan Fir, Korean Fir and Meyer Spruce.

Please note...

  • For blueberries we accept cash, checks, and Venmo.
